Hi Friends,

I have set myself a physical and mental challenge, and will be taking part in the 2022 Gobsmacked Perth Corporate Rumble, on Saturday 2nd April at Crown Towers, Perth. This will be a personal challenge for me whilst also raising money for the Melanoma Institute Australia. I've created this fundraising page to help Melanoma Institute Australia reach zero deaths from Melanoma.

I will be one of 28 fighters jumping in the ring on the night. I will commence an intensive 8-week training program on the 5th February at the Anarchy Training Centre, to help prepare for the challenge.

I am doing this in honour of my wife of 25 years, Diana Smith, aged 48. Diana fought a short (7 month) but very tough battle with Stage 4 Melanoma. Her strength was beyond anything we have ever encountered, and always with a bright smile and contagious laugh. There's a saying, 'be the things you love most about those who are gone.' I admired Diana's strength through life and her YOLO attitude. Anything she set her mind to, she did with commitment and passion, and it is this same mindset that I will bring into the boxing ring.

Please support me in this challenge and in my mission to help find a cure for melanoma in the very future, so that not too many more families have to live through what my wife lived through and the pain that my children and I now live with, without our wife and mother.
